Portfolio Underwriting Manager

About the Role:
As a Portfolio Underwriting Manager at Northbridge Financial Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing the enhancement and expansion of automated underwriting rules within our Commercial Underwriting team. You will work closely with the Lead Portfolio Analyst to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the automation of Commercial Underwriting rules
- Work with Underwriting and Technical Leads to ensure optimal practices
- Review portfolios, conduct audits, and ensure underwriting intent is maintained
- Develop and implement strategies to improve automation practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth
Requirements:
- 10+ years of Property and Casualty experience
- Proficiency in operational procedures, workflow, and processing functions
- Working knowledge of other key functional areas (Claims, Risk Management, IT)
- Team-first mentality with a focus on profitability
