About the Role

The Underwriting Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing key accounts in the Auto Warranty and Guarantee sector of the Specialty department at Northbridge Financial Corporation. This role involves building relationships with external partners, managing day-to-day operations of the accounts, and developing new program structures and contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to maximize profitability and increase market share
  • Collaborate with claims, legal, actuarial, business intelligence & analytics, IT, and accounting teams to provide ongoing analysis and support
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships to ensure quality risk selection and pricing
  • Price coverage, draft agreements, and monitor the performance of accounts
Requirements
  • Underwriting Property & Casualty experience, with a focus on Auto Warranty and Service Contract
  • Strong understanding of contract wordings and insurance accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
