Position Overview

About Us

Cameron Stephens Mortgage Capital Ltd. is a prominent non-bank lender with a robust presence across multiple cities. Established in 2004, we currently manage a committed loan portfolio of $3 billion, specializing in commercial real estate financing, including land development, construction loans, and commercial mortgages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite and finance comprehensive Loan Summary packages across various mortgage products.
  • Foster relationships with Borrowers and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure efficient transaction processing.
  • Coordinate with external parties to facilitate transaction funding.
  • Set personal objectives and action plans aligned with CSMC's strategic goals.
  • Analyze loan transactions and prepare detailed Loan Summaries for Investor evaluation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan lifecycle.
Daily Tasks Include:
  • Evaluate diverse commercial real estate transactions.
  • Compile detailed Loan Summaries for Investor submission.
  • Ensure all necessary due diligence materials are collected and assessed.
  • Engage with industry professionals to confirm underwriting assumptions.
  • Conduct modeling and quantitative analyses related to real estate assets.
  • Perform site inspections and meet with stakeholders as needed.
  • Assess applicants' creditworthiness through thorough analysis.
  • Identify potential risks and present recommendations to the Director/VP.
  • Draft commitment letters and associated documentation.
  • Collaborate with investors and consultants to secure transaction funding.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in the real estate lending sector (Ontario experience preferred) or 3-5 years for a more senior position.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Solid understanding of Finance and interest in the Canadian Real Estate Market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capacity to work independently.
