About the Role

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Addiction Counsellor III to join our team at the Edmonton Community Health Hub North. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide quality, client-focused, recovery-based care to individuals seeking assistance with addictions and mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the nature and severity of clients' mental health and substance use issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, providing a range of interventions to stabilize the situation
  • Provide education and referral services to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Addictions or a related field with coursework in addictions
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in addiction and mental health
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Ability to work well with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, and community partners
