About the Role:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Addiction Counsellor III to join our team at the Edmonton Community Health Hub North. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide quality, client-focused, recovery-based care to individuals seeking assistance with addictions and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education, and referral services to clients and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, adapting interventions as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, families, government staff, and colleagues to ensure effective collaboration and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Addictions or a related field with coursework in addictions.
  • Active registration under the Health Professions Act (Alberta) or eligibility for registration.
  • Authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions and/or restricted activities (if required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community stakeholders, clients, and families.
  • Authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions (if registered with ACSW).
