Job Summary

The Support Worker will be responsible for providing daily living support, life skills training, and behavioral support to clients. This includes preparing reports, assessing client needs, and implementing life skills workshops. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily living support to clients, including housekeeping and food preparation
  • Develop and implement life skills workshops to support client independence
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized support plans
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Implement behavior management programs to support client well-being
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, psychology)
  • 1-2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality support services
