Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

At Kenora Pizza LTD, we are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement effective work schedules to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and portioned efficiently
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory
  • Hire and manage food service staff to ensure a high-performing team
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates to inform business decisions
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions
  • Prepare and submit reports to management to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and accurate service delivery
  • Establish work schedules to ensure seamless service delivery
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure to meet tight deadlines. The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The physical demands of the role are high, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Client-focused and team-oriented with excellent oral communication skills
