Job Title: Healthcare Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Project Manager to join our team in Remote, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Project Manager will be responsible for managing large, complex Healthcare IT projects, developing and managing project plans, and collaborating with Program Managers. The ideal candidate will have experience working in cross-functional matrixed environments and excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project plans, including budget, schedule, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate and coordinate project communications.
  • Maintain and update program status, project status reports, and dashboards.
  • Develop project charters, business cases, options analyses, and evaluation plans.
  • Identify and manage organizational change requirements for the project.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Leads to align product tasks from the project plan into Sprints.
  • Manage project scope change processes and acquire approvals.
  • Manage Project Team performance of project tasks.
  • Control, track, and report on the execution of the project plan and day-to-day aspects of the project.
  • Control, track, and report on project financials (budgeted, planned, and spent).
  • Control, track, and report on current and forecast resource usage.
  • Control, track, and report on issues and risks identified for the project.
  • Escalate significant issues that cannot be resolved by the Project Team.
  • Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Project Sponsor, Clinical Architect, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Schedule and chair Project Team meetings, workshops, etc.
  • Transition project deliverables to Operations (Production Turnover/PTO).
  • Submit regular status reports to the PMO, Program Management, and Program Steering Committee.
  • Perform project management processes as per PMO standards.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years managing large, complex Healthcare IT projects.
  • Experience working in cross-functional matrixed environments.
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, Visio, Project).
  • Experience in thoroughly integrating change management and process improvement principles into own project management style.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management concepts, practices, and deliverables.
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Experience defining scope as well as verifying and controlling scope throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Possession of a project management professional (PMP) designation or equivalent.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working within the BC Health Sector.
  • Experience leading or supervising teams in large-scale implementation projects.
