Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staffing Rotations Coordinator to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, approving, and implementing staff rotations, processes, policies, and procedures that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and evaluate rotations to meet baseline staffing requirements, ensuring compliance with collective agreement requirements, operational needs, and budget constraints.
  • Work with clients to share staff information and develop optimal rotations, taking into consideration vacations, leaves of absence, and scheduled hours.
  • Provide consultation, advice, assistance, and guidance to clients on the implementation of new and/or revised rotations, ensuring operational needs and collective agreement language are met.
  • Collaborate with clients, Human Resources, HEABC, and unions to develop, revise, and approve new and/or existing rotations, identifying opportunities for rotation efficiencies.
  • Provide education and training on rotation development to clients, including rotation-related policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues related to rotation processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to provide collective agreement interpretation and application on issues such as hours of work, work schedules, and master rotations.
  • Responsible for the selection, evaluation, development, and termination of staff, as required.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline, supplemented with three to five years' recent related healthcare experience utilizing a computerized scheduling program, including one year of supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of collective agreements as it relates to staffing rotation requirements.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage change in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own workload and the workload of others.
  • Ability to supervise and provide work direction.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
