Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staffing Rotations Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, approving, maintaining, and implementing staff rotations, processes, policies, and procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of collective agreements and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement staff rotations to meet baseline staffing requirements, taking into account collective agreement requirements, scheduled hours, budget constraints, and overall staff utilization.
  • Work with clients to ensure staff information is shared to develop optimal rotations, considering vacations, leaves of absence, and scheduled hours.
  • Provide consultation, advice, assistance, and guidance to clients on the implementation of new and/or revised rotations, ensuring operational needs and collective agreement language are met.
  • Collaborate with clients, Human Resources, HEABC, and unions to develop, revise, and approve new and/or existing rotations, identifying opportunities for rotation efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement performance standards, supervise designated staff, and provide training and orientation as required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, supplemented by three to five years of recent related healthcare experience utilizing a computerized scheduling program, including one year of supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership practices, work effectively with others, and manage change in a dynamic environment.
