About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong educational background in veterinary technology, with experience in laboratory testing, animal handling, and nursing care. They will be responsible for collecting samples, performing laboratory tests, and assisting veterinarians during surgeries and other medical procedures. Additionally, they will provide counseling to clients on animal health care and may perform office management and clerical duties.
The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities- Collect samples and perform laboratory tests
- Handle and restrain animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Assist veterinarians during surgeries and medical procedures
- Provide counseling to clients on animal health care
- Perform office management and clerical duties
- Diploma or certificate in veterinary technology from a recognized institution
- 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary setting
- Registration with a provincial or territorial association as a Registered Animal Health Technologist or Registered Veterinary Technician
