Collaborate with a close-knit team to deliver advanced medical care, including intricate conditions and specialized treatment. Benefit from strong support and collaboration from ICU and specialist colleagues, and contribute to comprehensive, quality care throughout the hospital.

Your responsibilities span a broad spectrum of medical care, overseeing and addressing the healthcare needs of admitted patients, from acute ailments to chronic conditions. As the primary physician during patients' hospital stays, you'll orchestrate complex treatment plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team comprising nurses, specialists, surgeons, and allied healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • You'll hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
  • You'll have, or be eligible for, your Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).
  • If you trained in the US, hold ABMS board certification in internal medicine, and are already authorized to work in Canada, you are invited to apply for a locum.
  • To practice medicine here, you’ll have coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Working a standard 8-hour shift, you'll engage with an average of 14–18 inpatients per rotation.
On call requirements: You’ll contribute to after-hours call duties, which are a mandatory aspect of our practice.

Compensation: Estimated Gross Income

You’ll be compensated on the APP clinical service contract’s hourly rate of $187.38, plus MOCAP level 2.
