About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Safe Software. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, sharing your knowledge with the FME community, and collaborating with our Product Managers to improve the FME Platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional support to our customers, resolving their support cases and ensuring their success with FME.
  • Contribute to our FME Community Q&A Forums and Knowledge Base, sharing your expertise and helping others.
  • Collaborate with our Product Managers to deliver effective product demos and proof-of-concepts, showcasing the power of FME.
  • Develop and deliver webinars that highlight FME's capabilities, helping our customers get the most out of our product.
  • Work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, improving the FME Platform and enhancing the user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, exploring new features and beta releases to ensure our customers receive the best possible support.
Requirements
  • Technical skills: Experience working with a broad range of data formats, including GIS, CAD, databases, raster, JSON, XML, and REST APIs/web/cloud services.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate technical information in accessible language.
  • Empathetic and customer-centric, with a passion for delivering exceptional support.
  • Curious and eager to learn new technologies, systems, and data formats that FME supports.
  • Able to think critically and propose solutions to complex problems.
  • Able to collaborate effectively and exchange meaningful feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of previous experience working in technical support, technology consulting, or a relevant industry.
  • Previous experience using FME Form and/or FME Flow.
  • Significant consideration will be given to candidates familiar with CAD/BIM datasets and applications, GIS products, or experience working with databases and web services.
