VP of Engineering

We are seeking a highly experienced VP of Engineering to lead our platform engineering group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for empowering product engineering teams by delivering reliable core APIs, comprehensive documentation, and enhanced developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a large cross-functional engineering team to drive service maturity standards in disaster recovery, monitoring coverage, and security practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall developer experience.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to drive technical vision and direction.
  • Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality software.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading and scaling exceptional cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong technical background in Software Engineering (Python/Java), Data Tooling (Kafka), and DB's (Clickhouse, Postgres).
  • Exceptional leadership experience with prior experience at Director/VP of Engineering level.
  • Experience working within large-scale data environments.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package, including base salary up to $340,000 CAD + bonus, equity, and wider benefits.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days per week in-office in Toronto.
