Chubb Insurance Company of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Claims Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Claims Department, you will provide administrative support and assistance to our claims team, ensuring seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Field and respond to incoming calls, emails, and physical mail, including general inquiries and new claims processing.
- Provide initial guidance on new claims processes and communicate expectations to insureds, sending out acknowledgment letters as needed.
- Assign files based on severity and maintain an assignment log.
- Act as a subject matter expert and main point of contact for our offshore support team, Genpact.
- Provide claims updates to underwriters, brokers, insureds, and vendors.
- Respond to daily task assignments from adjusters to complete various administrative tasks.
- Assist with the auto theft salvage process.
- Act as a liaison and first point of contact for auditors.
- Audit daily financial processing results to ensure claim files are properly documented and payments align with Chubb's best practices.
- Manually enter and verify banking information received from insureds and claimants.
- Review current processes for control and optimization opportunities.
- Bilingualism in French and English is required to ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Completion of a post-secondary university or college program and/or equivalent experience is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in both English and French an asset.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to take initiative in solving problems independently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to follow-up independently.
- Ability to respond as a team player in a multi-task environment.
- Must possess an aptitude for technical, detail-oriented work.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
