About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to join our Communications & Public Affairs (C&PA) Thought Leadership team at CIBC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the production of research and business-focused communications content while coordinating the public-facing CIBC Thought Leadership platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Administration – Utilize your organizational skills and knowledge of software tools to manage content publication on a public-facing website.
  • Strategic Communications – Translate complex business strategies into engaging content for an external business audience, helping to execute CIBC's Thought Leadership strategy.
  • Relationship Management and Business Acumen – Confidently work with colleagues and external stakeholders, managing relationships across the organization to build strong working partnerships focused on outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience in communicating with external audiences through various platforms, including web content management systems.
  • Writing and Editing Skills – Write compelling communications clearly and concisely, with excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Language Skills – Fluency in French is an asset, with drafting and proofing skills advantageous in this role.
  • Client Focus – Engage with purpose to find the right solutions, putting clients first and going the extra mile when necessary.
  • Influence and Impact – Know that relationships and networks are essential to success, and understand that success is in the details.
