Your Opportunity:


Ambitious and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) are sought after by Alberta Health Services to deliver high-quality inpatient surgery services. This temporary part-time position is part of the Transitional Graduate Nurse Recruitment Program (TGNRP), which supports newly graduated RNs in their career development.


Key Responsibilities:


As a Registered Nurse in Inpatient Surgery, your primary duties will include:



  • Providing nursing care to patients undergoing surgery, focusing on their safety and well-being
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex patient needs
  • Teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and their families

Required Qualifications:


To be considered for this role, you must:



  • Hold a Baccalaureate of Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing
  • Be eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Have current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification

Preferred Qualifications:


While not required, having current CRNA/CRPNA registration and a Baccalaureate of Nursing degree within the last 12 months will be beneficial.
