Process Safety Specialist

ERCO Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Engineer to join our Toronto Engineering team. The successful candidate will provide Process Safety Management (PSM) support to all assigned ERCO Worldwide sites, ensuring the implementation, monitoring, and facilitation of Tier 1 & 2 PSM elements.
Key Responsibilities- Support corporate-led process safety initiatives, including major hazard risk assessments and electrical area classification for process areas.
- Facilitate risk assessment studies (PHA, LOPA's, etc.) for proper hazard identification and associated risk reduction and/or mitigation.
- Resolve assigned PSM recommendations from various PSM studies and assist site personnel in resolving PSM recommendations to achieve expected risk reduction from associated hazards.
- Work with the Manager, Process Safety Management, to develop corporate procedures and practices for establishing guidance for safe operation.
- Participate as a team member on auditing of ERCO sites to ensure PSM program compliance.
- Represent ERCO on external committees and at conferences.
- Bachelor of Chemical Engineering is required.
- Professional Engineering License (strongly preferred).
- 6-10 years of experience in new process design/commissioning and support of plant operations & projects.
- Strong health and safety mindset.
- Valid driver's license and passport for travel.
