Job Title: Food Safety Specialist

Cerelia Bakery Canada LP is seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of our SQF program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all SQF Food Safety Code requirements relevant to our production processes.
  • Integrate additional requirements per specific customer's food safety program.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to identify and address any potential food safety hazards and non-conformances.
  • Lead and participate in investigations of food safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and educate employees on SQF principles and procedures to foster a culture of food safety awareness.
  • Stay up to date on the latest SQF requirements and best practices in food safety.
  • Assist QA Manager with SQF certification audits, as well as 3rd party audits, and address any findings.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and programs of the company (GMP, Quality, Food Safety, and Health & Safety, etc.).
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing with a focus on food safety.
  • Completion of HACCP training course.
  • Proven understanding of SQF Food Safety Code V9: Food Manufacturing and its implementation.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in conducting SQF Audits.
  • Ability to write clear and concise SOPs and Policies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
