Job Overview

BESTWAY CONCRETE CONTRACTORS is seeking a dedicated Concrete Finishing Specialist to join our team. This role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work in various challenging environments.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in concrete finishing.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to dusty conditions.
  • Work at heights.
  • Experience in cold/refrigerated settings.
  • Work in dangerous and hot environments.
  • Operate in noisy and outdoor conditions.
  • Wet/damp conditions are expected.
Work Setting
  • Commercial projects.
  • Institutional buildings.
  • Residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and eliminate imperfections on freshly poured concrete.
  • Utilize power vibrators for concrete compaction.
  • Level the top surface of concrete to meet grade and depth specifications.
  • Apply desired finishes to concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and various fixtures.
  • Apply hardening and sealing agents to cure surfaces effectively.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore concrete surfaces.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged concrete sections.
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable.
Physical Requirements
  • Physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Sound discrimination skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
Tools and Equipment
  • Personal tools required.
  • Safety equipment and gear necessary.
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Hard hat.
  • Safety glasses or goggles.
  • Ear plugs.

Work Conditions

This is a permanent position requiring 35 to 44 hours of work per week. The primary language of work is English.
