Concrete Finisher Job Description

BESTWAY CONCRETE CONTRACTORS is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a precise finish.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to complete the concrete structure.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from the elements.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to ensure they are safe and durable.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain their integrity.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with heavy loads and at heights.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Sound discrimination and ability to work in a noisy environment.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Own tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, and gloves.
Work Environment:
  • Commercial, institutional, and residential settings.
  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Language:
  • English is the primary language of communication.
Work Schedule:
  • 35 to 44 hours per week.
