Job Title: Dispatcher II

About the Role:

At OPENLANE, we're revolutionizing the wholesale industry with our cutting-edge digital marketplace. As a Dispatcher II, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the movement of vehicles to and from our Vehicle Logistics Centers (VLC), including dispatching loads and completing related paperwork.
  • Enter data accurately and efficiently into our transportation and inventory management systems.
  • Quote transportation services, process transactions, and post charges according to contracts and company specifications.
  • Investigate discrepancies and communicate with relevant personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with scheduling for transport drivers and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Act as a point of contact for transportation services within the VLC, providing prompt, efficient, and courteous attention to customers.
  • Proactively promote transportation services in collaboration with our Sales & Dealer Relations teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in logistics or dispatching.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
