**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled Cultural Programming Specialist to join our team at Anishinabek Employment & Training Services. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating cultural events and providing cultural support services to children and families.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Coordinate cultural events such as Shawanaga First Nation Annual Pow Wow

• Develop and implement cultural programs that integrate traditional teachings

• Provide cultural support services to children and families

• Recruit and maintain a roster of Elders, Traditional Advisors and Healers

• Assist in obtaining necessary supplies, equipment or funds

• Act as a resource or provide resources to ensure cultural knowledge and practices are maintained

**Requirements:**

• Post-secondary education in First Nation Studies or First Nation focused/directed programming

• Experience in project and financial management

• Knowledge of and experience in working with First Nations heritage, language, traditional and/or cultural resources

• Excellent communication and computer skills

• Valid driver's license

• Demonstrate a commitment to their own personal healing
