Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Service Worker to join our team in a contract position. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the well-being of First Nations children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide fair, equitable, and respectful service to clients, consistent with the organization's vision and values.
  • Arrange transportation for clients as needed, including court appearances and appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Participate in internal committees and work teams as required.
  • Support the investigation of child abuse and maltreatment allegations, including conducting thorough record checks.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, assuming additional duties as needed.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with a post-secondary diploma in a related field, such as social work or child youth care. Relevant experience within a human services environment is an asset.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Showcase strong organizational and administrative abilities, including time management and attention to detail.
  • A valid Ontario driver's license, reliable vehicle, and $2 million rider liability insurance are essential.
  • Candidates must also provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening and driver's abstract.
  • Flexibility is key, as this role may include evening and Saturday shifts.
