Teaching Opportunity at Summerland Montessori School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to join our team at Summerland Montessori School. As a Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop an inquiry-based, Montessori-focused approach to teaching and learning.
  • Foster caring, committed, and supportive relationships with students and families.
  • Create a classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and care.
  • Participate in professional development training related to Montessori and other educational initiatives.
  • Design, prepare, and deliver learning experiences that facilitate authentic engagement and meet students' needs.
  • Identify and select instructional resources and methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Prepare reports, conduct parent-teacher conferences, and communicate with parents to foster an open and supportive relationship.
  • Model a strong work ethic, high standard of commitment, and maintain excellent professionalism in all interactions.
  • Participate in community building events and promote the school's mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education and/or Montessori Teaching Certificate.
  • Additional preferences include interest in pursuing Montessori training, experience in discovery-based philosophies, and 1-2 years of teaching experience.
