Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join their allied health team at the Summerland Health Centre on a casual basis.

About the position:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community occupational therapy services. Your responsibilities will include assessment, treatment planning, and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of residents/clients/patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. You will contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the department; participate in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provide work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function.

This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary, and shifts may be at short notice. Qualifications:
Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program. Full practicing registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Valid BC Driver's license.
