As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operational human resources needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members on compensation, benefits, HR operations, and HRIS functions while ensuring services and work are performed in compliance with collective agreements, policies, and procedures.
  • Compile and analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • Oversee processes and policies that impact various HR systems and other applications, ensuring seamless integration and effective implementation.
  • Collaborate with hospital partners to review, design, and implement policies to support and sustain HR best practices.
  • Develop strategies to achieve workforce targets related to recruitment, performance reviews, and turnover.
  • Support the implementation of an electronic staff scheduling system by coaching and managing HR aspects of the implementation.
  • Influence and build consensus with hospital leaders to effectively integrate HR programs and services.
  • Lead or participate in projects/corporate culture initiatives associated with the Hospital's People Plan.
  • Support organizational change through strategic thinking and organizational behavior/change management principles.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience leading Human Resources Operations required.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or equivalent certification.
  • Hospital or health services experience is advantageous.
  • Experience using Workday is a plus.
  • Previous experience managing or leading a team, including coaching, mentoring, and team building.
  • Expertise in operational human resource management, including management of HR data, HRIS, compensation, benefits, and HR operations.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreement language, and practices in a unionized environment or public sector/broader public sector organization.
  • Experience in policy and program development.
  • Effective consultation skills to foster collaborative working relationships among management, HRBPs, staff, organizational units, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate various activities and manage competing priorities and balance multiple, disparate tasks.
