Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at American Iron and Metal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating various health and safety initiatives and programs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Management
    • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential health and safety risks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement health and safety training programs.
  • Reporting and Data Management
    • Manage and analyze health and safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track health and safety performance.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on health and safety initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Document Management
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety document management system.
    • Ensure all health and safety documents are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant practical experience.
  • Experience in an industrial environment, an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Bilingual (French/English).
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent synthesis and communication skills.
Additional Information
  • Full-time, permanent, on-site position.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 40h/week.
