Job Summary

The Kativik Municipal Housing Bureau is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory management system.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the orderliness and maintenance of storage areas in accordance with established layout plans;
  • Perform location tagging in all material and equipment warehouses;
  • Code and rotate materials and equipment;
  • Receive and ship goods between communities and from suppliers;
  • Enter all inventory transactions into the inventory management system;
  • Inform staff of inventory transactions and track them;
  • Inform the Procurement Officer of incomplete requisitions;
  • Prepare documentation for inventory transfers to third parties for invoicing;
  • Apply recognized laws and regulations related to hazardous materials management and workplace safety;
  • Perform cyclical inventory counts of materials and equipment according to the sampling plan;
  • Complete inventory adjustments in the inventory management system as required;
  • Conduct annual inventory counts and report information to the Inventory Coordinator;
  • Validate merchandise from sea and air shipments according to the sampling plan;
  • Work collaboratively with staff from maintenance and procurement departments and communities;
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Inventory Coordinator.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school graduate;
  • Forklift driver's license (asset);
  • 1-2 years of experience in stocktaking (asset);
  • Working knowledge of the WHMIS system (asset);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs;
  • Valid territorial driving license;
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in two of the three languages (English, French, and Inuktitut).
