Job Description

MPE Engineering Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in the Medicine Hat region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects from preliminary engineering to construction completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and to provide regular project updates.
  • Design and Engineering: Oversee the design and engineering aspects of projects, including detailed design, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Construction Administration: Administer construction contracts, including tendering, contract administration, and resident engineering.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit technical reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualifications: Professional Engineer designation in Alberta (APEGA) or Professional Technologist designation through ASET.
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in the field of Civil Engineering and 1 year additional experience in Project Management.
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
