The University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Architectural Design. The successful candidate will contribute to the enrichment of undergraduate and graduate programs, including the Bachelor of Arts in Architectural and Visual Studies and professional Masters programs.

We seek a candidate who can demonstrate a strong commitment to engaging in creative design practice and research focusing on sustainable materials. The ideal candidate should have the ability to develop a synthesis between creative design and material innovations.
The Daniels Faculty is a multi-disciplinary environment that includes design disciplines such as architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, forestry, and visual studies. We are looking for a candidate whose research and/or creative professional activity complements our existing strengths.
Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research and/or creative professional activity, which can be demonstrated by publications in recognized journals, authored or edited books, exhibitions in recognized venues, participation in research projects, presentations at academic conferences, awards, and strong endorsements by referees.
Evidence of teaching excellence will be demonstrated by teaching accomplishments, a teaching statement, sample course materials, teaching evaluations, and strong recommendation letters. Other teaching-related activities include publications in pedagogy journals, performance as a teaching assistant or course instructor, examples of student work, leading successful workshops or seminars, and student mentorship.
