Swine Technician Role

HyLife is a global leader in food processing, and we're seeking a skilled Swine Technician to join our team. As a Swine Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out feeding programs to optimize animal growth and health
  • Weigh and sort pigs for transport to ensure efficient logistics
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and general farm duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Recognize and treat livestock health issues promptly to prevent disease spread
  • Maintain accurate records of livestock performance to inform decision-making

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Availability to work rotating weekend shifts
  • Minimum 1-year experience in swine technology or a related field (asset)
