Job Summary:

HyLife is seeking a skilled Swine Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out feeding programs to optimize animal growth and health
  • Weigh and sort pigs for transport to ensure efficient and safe movement
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and general farm duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Recognize and treat livestock health issues promptly to prevent disease spread
  • Maintain accurate records of livestock performance and health
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Availability to work rotating weekend shifts as required
  • Minimum 1-year experience in swine production or a related field (asset)
