Clinical Activities Specialist

McLean Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Activities Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our inpatient program, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a variety of education, skills, and recreational activities for patients on our units. Your goal will be to promote engagement, motivation, and overall well-being among our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead group activities, including education, skills, and recreational programs, to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure activities align with treatment goals and objectives.
- Document patient participation and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social services, human services, or a related field.
- Experience working with clinical populations, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries, with a commitment to patient confidentiality.
