Clinical Team Lead

At McLean Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner in Charge to lead our multidisciplinary clinical team on an inpatient unit caring for adult patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the clinical team in providing high-quality patient care and overseeing day-to-day clinical services.
- Provide clinical services to assigned patients every business day, documenting each visit in the medical record and completing treatment plans and discharge summaries.
- Participate in team rounds and other clinical meetings, coordinating treatment and discharge planning.
- Oversee appropriate medical care, meet with families as needed, and communicate with referring sources and other community providers.
- Attend program and hospital administrative meetings, comply with hospital policies, and participate in utilization management, risk management, and quality assurance activities.
- Provide supervision to medical trainees and nursing trainees, and facilitate integration of program services with other clinical programs and non-clinical departments.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited graduate school.
- Clinical experience in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness in inpatient settings preferred.
- Board certification in psychiatric/mental health advanced practice nursing (CNS or NP) and current, active, unrestricted licensure as a Massachusetts CNS or NP with prescriptive authority.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records.
