Job Summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a highly qualified Instrumentation Engineering Technology Instructor to join our team. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instruction in the instrumentation engineering technology program, preparing for and using appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments, and managing the classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver instruction in the instrumentation engineering technology program
  • Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments
  • Manage the classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students
  • Evaluate and record student progress
  • Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content
  • Accommodate students with special learning needs
  • Attend staff, program, and division meetings
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements
  • Practice good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work cooperatively in an interdependent team environment
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering Technology and membership or eligibility for certification with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) as an A.Sc.T. or APEGS as a P.Eng.
  • Two years' recent/relevant experience in Instrumentation
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
  • Effective instructional ability
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity
