As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instruction in the instrumentation engineering technology program, preparing for and using appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments, and managing the classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver instruction in the instrumentation engineering technology program
- Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments
- Manage the classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students
- Evaluate and record student progress
- Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content
- Accommodate students with special learning needs
- Attend staff, program, and division meetings
- Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements
- Practice good interpersonal and communication skills
- Work cooperatively in an interdependent team environment
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering Technology and membership or eligibility for certification with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) as an A.Sc.T. or APEGS as a P.Eng.
- Two years' recent/relevant experience in Instrumentation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
- Effective instructional ability
- Demonstrates valuing diversity
