Senior Development Officer

Memorial University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Officer to join our Office of Development and Alumni Engagement. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support the university's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual performance objectives
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of critical donor relationships, including individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • Design and implement strategies to solicit specific major gifts from high-capacity donors
  • Collaborate with academic leaders to develop fundraising strategies that support the execution of fundraising calls and solicitations
  • Identify, recruit, and manage external volunteers to support fundraising efforts
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in resource development, relationship management, sales, business development, and/or fundraising
  • Excellent communication, listening, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a high level of sophistication, tact, and discretion
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $66,092 - $90,126 per annum (Management and Professional)
  • Market differential: $18,357
