Senior Development Officer

Memorial University is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Officer to join our team in the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for implementing fundraising strategies and initiatives to support the university's goals and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of critical donor relationships, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies and initiatives to achieve annual fundraising goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership, academic leaders, and other stakeholders to support fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with Development staff to manage and coach fundraising teams.
  • Develop and execute a strategy and operational plan for overall fundraising and specific campaigns or initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Thorough experience (5-7 years) in resource development, relationship management, sales, business development, and/or fundraising, preferably in the education, health-care, or not-for-profit sector.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), listening skills, proven leadership ability, strong organizational skill, good negotiation skills, ability to manage relationships with honesty, integrity, and commitment to an academic environment.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $66,092 - $90,126 per annum (Management and Professional) plus market differential of $18,357.
