Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Concrete Operations Coordinator to join our team at Holcim. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling of concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, and ensuring accurate batching to produce a high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Efficient Driver Call Ins: Schedule drivers and delivery schedules, ensuring that customer expectations are met and plant operating capabilities are optimized.
  • Coordinating Daily Customer Projects: Work closely with customers to understand their project requirements and ensure that concrete deliveries are made on time and to specification.
  • Plant Efficiency: Monitor and optimize plant operations, maintenance, and supply ordering to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Quality Control: Inspect plant operations daily to ensure that quality standards are met and that raw materials are properly stored and handled.
  • Inventory Management: Manage raw material inventory levels to ensure that they are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Basic Data Entry: Enter data into our system to track customer orders, delivery schedules, and plant operations.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Ensure Quality Product: Ensure that all concrete deliveries meet our quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Raw Inventory Management: Manage raw material inventory levels to ensure that they are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Plant Maintenance: Work with our maintenance team to ensure that plant equipment is properly maintained and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Scheduling Drivers & Orders: Schedule drivers and delivery schedules, ensuring that customer expectations are met and plant operating capabilities are optimized.
  • Timely Concrete Deliveries: Ensure that concrete deliveries are made on time and to specification.
  • Optimizing Batching System: Work with our batching team to optimize the batching process and ensure that concrete meets our quality standards.
  • RMX Driver Training: Provide training to RMX drivers on our batching and delivery procedures.
  • Adhering to Lafarge Safety Initiatives: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that a safe working environment is maintained.

Qualification Profile

  • Experience in Ready Mix Concrete: Strong experience in ready mix concrete operations, preferably in a dispatch or batching role.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, drivers, and plant staff.
  • Good Computer Skills: Good computer skills, with the ability to learn new programs quickly and enter data accurately.
  • Able to Multi-Task: Able to multi-task and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service Oriented: Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on meeting customer needs and expectations.
