We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food Service Associate - Cashier to join our team at Ontario Tech University's UB Cafe. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive customer experience with friendly and courteous service.
  • Operate a cash register, handling customer transactions and balancing cash drawers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with food preparation, including baking and cooking.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a fully stocked café.
  • Engage with customers, answering questions and resolving issues.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks with speed and accuracy.
Requirements
  • High school education an asset.
  • 1-year experience in the food service industry preferred.
  • ServeSafe and/or FoodSafe certified an asset.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment, handling multiple tasks with speed and accuracy.
