Diesel Mechanic Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our team at SNIS EXPRESS LOGISTICS LTD. The successful candidate will assist our experienced mechanics in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring our fleet is in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Help with the movement and storage of tools and equipment
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Support tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and work areas
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and will be required to work under pressure. The position involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
