As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel "heavy-duty" trucks, as well as chemical trailers, including chemical tankers and dry bulk units.

Responsibilities include:

* Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel "heavy-duty" trucks and chemical trailers
* Conducting computer diagnostics on engine/transmission/chassis, emissions system repairs, transmission/clutch/linkage, electrical, starting systems, engine PM, A/C, and other typical truck repairs
* Checking running gear including brakes, tires/wheels, air systems, suspension, electrical systems, and lights
* Changing/fixing tires and wheels

Requirements:

* Valid Class 5 Driver's License
* Red Seal is an asset
* CVIP Certification is an asset
* Two years verifiable mechanic experience
* Operation of hand and air tools
* Previous experience with all types and makes of tractors and trailers heavy-duty diesel trucks
* Ability to work at heights up to 15 feet
* Grade 12 or equivalent
