About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Team Lead to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for the organization and supervision of daily operations, ensuring the highest level of patient care and service delivery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in radiological technology, with a minimum of three years' experience working in a hospital setting. They will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that all imaging procedures are performed in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of competency in new equipment and procedures, and for staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

About You

We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Minimum three years' recent experience working as a technologist in a hospital setting
  • Formal management course preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi-modality/site imaging department
  • Ensures competency, and maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
  • Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-developed decision-making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
Compensation and Benefits

$33.97 - $42.89 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
