Radiological Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, applying the ALARA principle, and continuously remain responsive to and responsible for each patient in your care.
Effective communication in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary environment is essential, and you will foster a culture of safety in the workplace. Travel to other sites may be required.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Previous experience is an asset
- Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
- Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
- Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Casual Relief Position
- Call back, stand by, and shift work required, including evenings, nights, weekends and holiday coverage
$30.83 - $37.54 hourly
