About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision. You will exercise independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation, applying the ALARA principle. You will continuously remain responsive to and responsible for each patient in your care, fostering a culture of safety in the workplace.

Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiological Technologist who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
  • Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
  • Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Call back, stand by, and shift work required, including evenings, nights, weekends and holiday coverage
Compensation and Benefits

$30.83 - $37.54 hourly
