About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at Forest Lawn Medical Corporation. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to evaluate their physical and mental health, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed, while ensuring patient safety and adherence to medical guidelines.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with clear and concise information about their health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall well-being.
  • Coordination of Care: Work with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Counseling and Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry from a recognized institution.
  • Certifications: Possess the College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP), Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC), and Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Vietnamese an asset.
  • Work Setting: Be comfortable working in a remote or urban location, with a clinic setting preferred.
