Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Westlake. As a key member of our Shipping department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our forklifts, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and complete daily inspection forms
  • Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with safety procedures
  • Load and unload trucks, and monitor the quality of materials and products being handled
  • Ensure accurate storage and supply of materials to production lines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and participate in department and company meetings as required

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset, but not required
  • Forklift certification acquired through company-sponsored training program
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently, and complete reports accurately and legibly
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
