Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Westlake. As a key member of our Shipping area, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our forklifts, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and complete daily inspection forms
  • Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with safety procedures
  • Load and unload trucks, monitoring quality and reporting any deficiencies
  • Ensure accurate storage and supply of materials to production lines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Participate in department and company meetings as required

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset, but not required
  • Forklift certification through our company-sponsored training program
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
