About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that offers an estimated annual salary of $73,000 based on industry standards and location. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of medical imaging equipment, including mammography machines, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and providing emotional support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, exam results, and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and effective patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Medical Radiation Technology or related field.
  • Certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
