Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Planner to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and coordinating clinical equipment needs throughout the planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review clinical equipment lists for various projects at Fraser Health.
  • Work with project planning teams to establish and review equipment lists, ensuring they align with operational plans.
  • Develop strategies and processes for collecting, tracking, and maintaining clinical equipment data.
  • Conduct research to ensure evidence-based information is provided throughout the project planning process.
  • Develop project schedules and ensure activities and cost targets are met.
  • Identify and report equipment and equipment-related problems or deviations from approved plans.
  • Consult with Clinical and Facilities Planners to establish and review clinical equipment lists.
  • Prepare equipment lists and associated budgets and funding sources.
  • Develop procurement strategies and confirm adequate funding is in place.

Requirements:

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, clinical engineering, biomedical technology, or health technology.
  • Five to seven years' recent, related experience with complex medical equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in collaboration/consultation with others.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare delivery systems.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and evaluation skills.
